Biography

serious meerkat is a performer and curator. A story-telling enthusiast with interest in academia and research. Having completed her Master of Law with a focus on human rights, her artistic practice navigates the space between her creative and advocacy practices. Fusing the two passions, her work navigates the terrain of systems and structures that shape our society and their effect on identity, place and community. Serious_meerkat has produced, provided creative direction and set design for live performance art at Fringe Festival and Northcote Social.

serious meerkat studied Theatre Performance and Film Acting Techniques at the Australian Theatre for Young People and the National Institute of Dramatic Art. When she’s not acting, you can find her writing, producing films and planning secret shows with her favourite people.
